XC Ski Report 2/1: The rain yesterday hit us hard, but the GC and the woods are skiable! The trails have not been groomed. They are firm but not rock solid. We did get the thinnest of dustings at the end of the storm which does help ski control. If you have a halfway decent snowplow, you should be able to control your speed on downhills if needed. You will probably need to click out and walk at the traditionally thin spots, There are bad ruts made by wheeled vehicles between the lookout and the top of the big hill on Ridge Run. All in all, if you can enjoy yourself in ok conditions, you will enjoy yourself today! It is a beautiful day, and the sun should soften the snow a bit as the day goes on. To borrow a line from Robert Cray, "The forecast calls for pain", so Ski IT While You Can!

XC Ski Report 1/24 pm: The trails are groomed and tracks are set! Both skate and classic should be great. Over 4 miles (maybe 5) have been groomed! The big hill below the overlook on Ridge Run is drifted, but the groomer put in a solid effort! Good fun going down. The trail got better the closer one got to the bottom. Get out and enjoy it while you can!

Today's conditions are very good. We have a good base with a couple inches of powder on top. We have very little wind with partly cloudy skies, a good base with a couple inches of powder on some 10 km of ungroomed open & wooded trails. Reports are especially good in the wooded trails where yesterday's winds had less impact. If you have your own equipment feel free to ski at your own risk, we ask that you consider a $5 trail donation be place in the lockbox attached to a tree at the trail head. XC Ski Report 1/7: We got a few more inches of dry and fluffy yesterday into today! It's getting deep! The wind has been howling, so any tracks are largely obliterated. Still, it's fun! I recommend getting down below the golf course into the woods. It's quite pleasant once you get out of the wind. I would recommend returning to the Clubhouse via GC along the treeline or better yet, Jack's Run. Happy Trails!

About 7" of snow on the ground. Golf Course was very good skiing. A little thin in some areas in the woods. Good skiing tomorrow. Ski Hut will be open for business on Saturday and Sunday. Come ski at the Knob!
